Hey! I’m Jayme—but you might know me as @crocsandsquats, your internet gym bestie who sometimes rocks crocs while getting it done. My fitness journey really solidified at Towson University, where I earned my degree in Health Education and Promotion in 2021. That’s when I truly started appreciating what our bodies can do. The gym became my sanctuary to de-stress and prioritize mental health.
I’m on a mission to empower Black & Brown women to feel confident in the gym—a space that can feel male-dominated and intimidating. I know many of us worry about looking “stupid,” but trust me, you belong there and can absolutely take up space! Coming from a family with prevalent diabetes and obesity, I’ve seen the consequences of neglecting health. My goal is to help us understand that movement is crucial for preventing disease, boosting mental well-being, and breaking generational health challenges.
My coaching style is “tough love bestie.” There’s no room for negative self-talk here. When you feel like giving up, I’ll be the voice reminding you your mind might play tricks—but you’re always stronger than you think.
